Father to (almost) Father: An Ode to my Dad

Image
With fatherhood only a few days away, I really wanted to sit down and take time to reflect on my life experience. How did I define fatherhood? What does being a dad actually look like? How does that relationship work? In order to answer those questions, I turned to the best example in my dad. The following is what I was able to come up with, plenty of thank-yous included.

So, with this piece, I wanted to pull back the curtain ever so slightly and reveal some of my personality traits and quirks that may not be immediately apparent. What makes me tick? I'm not sure... Let's find out together!

Dear Martha: An open letter to Martha Hart

Image
I've decided to use this outlet to reach out to Dr. Martha Joan Hart because her personal privacy means more to her than conventional means of social media. Hart has understandably avoided such for the most part, aside from her work through the Owen Hart Foundation. I commend her for such. Overall, I felt compelled to write such a letter to send along my genuine praise, appreciation, respect, and admiration for how Martha has handled her family as well as herself following her husband, Owen Hart's, untimely death on May 23rd, 1999...
