Austin's Fatal Truth

Man, oh man. It's been awhile since my last list and I've seen and done a whole lot since then. Time to update those who have been around for a minute and introduce pieces of me to those who've only been around for a second. Think you know me? Try these on for size!

A few years back, before going to college but after graduation high school, I threw myself into the workforce to buy myself some time. I really needed to think about what it was that I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I wasn't sure I'd make it long being a backroom truck unloader that holiday season at The Christmas Tree Shops, but I learned one thing for certain. That was who I was going to be for the rest of my life. Meet Tony.

I like to fancy myself as a pretty eccentric guy. Though funny for the most part, I'm also often perceived as a bit mysterious. So, with this piece, I wanted to pull back the curtain ever so slightly and reveal some of my personality traits and quirks that may not be immediately apparent. What makes me tick? I'm not sure... Let's find out together!

I hate it. I hate everything it represents. I hate the smells it comes with. I hate how much it changes people. Most of all, I hate how people think it's no big deal. So, to all you pot zombies out there, this one's for you. To all the family and friends (that I currently know of) smoking pot, it sickens me that I know the strength each of you hold and yet you consistently choose to be weaken by such a nasty, mind-melting habit. Save the excuses, too. I've heard them all. Don't try and defend your actions either. You can't. It seems everybody has some kind of excuse as to why they smoke or use marijuana, with self medicating and recreation among the most common. I plan to address each excuse individually. Another thing most users do is try and defend their usage with non-facts and half-assed explanations. These, I also plan to address.

Students across America, due to social harassment and bullying, are experiencing rising numbers of dangerous situations and violence in school. Though some may argue that this is a result of poor parenting and an unstable home life. School bullying and being socially outcast are more directly involved in causing school violence. It is in fact, the harassment students experience in school that causes most of the violent outbursts.

Seeing as this is a blog, and I like to consider myself somewhat of a writer, I figured it was about time I start making use of such an outlet (instead of continually customizing it without any actual content going up). Nonetheless, here we are... finally.
