On-the-go poetry entry #19

"Proceed to the route"

A race against time
is one no man
has ever won

No matter how far
life may carry us
it'll never be as far
as we'd like

Accepting our place
 in life's timeline
brings us something
the constant chase
never will

Internal peace

So

Stay in your lane
Enjoy your moments
slowly as they pass
Keep a gauge on what
fuels you

Be thankful for the ride

Exits and off-ramps may pop up
their arrival unannounced

As our time
along this road
has been

unavoidably preset

Time will pass
despite our best efforts

Never let that keep you
from rolling down
those windows

Or
taking in
all the
delicious air

along the way
